Happy Chinese New Year!
It'll never be complete without this greeting : Gong Xi Fatt Chai!! Hope that you'll collect endless angpau(s)! ^ ^
Well, the year of pig is here. Heard that it'll generally be a good year for everyone!!! Chinese is born superstitious in my humble opinion. I can't help but went and search for some horoscopes reading about Roosters in the year of Pig!
Here's what i found and i certainly like what's written below! (o^ ^o) :
Roosters will find their luck improving on from last year and there will be progress in career and talent. The urge to learn is at a peak this year and your ability to absorb knowledge is at its highest, causing your work to go up a level. However, this year will also bring you some peril and danger, so be careful of accidents when you are out and about or being bitten by animals.
(by Feng Shui Master Mak Ling Ling)
From the para above, i deduce that we roosters will have unlimited opportunities and handsome returns. However, we should avoid animals especially those that has potential to bite us? hehe
This year will truly be a year that will determine if i am able to keep my ambition alive! Wish me luck!
Actually this cny looks to be another quiet one for me. It has been the same for the past 3 consecutive cny(s) being away from home. It's never the same and the canadians chinese doesn't seems to celebrate or give much importance to it compared to those who live in the Asian countries. I love to spend time in the build-up to cny and certainly enjoyed the 15-day cny celebration. I love the time spent in cleaning and decorating the house, replacing broken furnitures, buying new clothes, shopping for cny cookies and certainly the "group" house-hopping (actually it's paying visits to relatives and close friends! hehe) that serves to increase the angpau(s) collection! Also not forgetting the "cny-made-gambling-legal"! It's certainly a tradition that i'll never be able to forego.
