Time flies
I didnt realise that i didnt blog for 3 months already. I have always thought of blogging but didnt think what was going on was significant to blog. Basically, there was not much happened during summer as there was a mix of good and bad weather. I was lazy during the beginning of summer and somehow went on a money consumption craze for a short while. Shopaholic let loose! I got a home theatre system setup in my cozy apartment. It consist of a flat screen tv, 5.1 speaker system with a home theatre amplifier and a ps3 as well. It was a lot of time spent because i did quite a few test and exchanges to get the my preferred combination. I am finally happy with it and decided that i should stop spending and will try to skimp as much as i can.
I just got back from Halifax less than a week ago. I was there for a Canadian general surgery conference which serve as a true eye opening to me. I was quite stressed out prior and during the conference itself as i was on the presenter list. I never realise that i can come back feeling so motivated to try to achieve certain things that i havent even decide if i really want to achieve. My motto is always, there is never too much and giving your best will never get you anything too little. I think it's important for me to go to this kind of conference on a regular basis as it helps to keep myself reminded of what kind of challenges that i can present to myself. I think i am certainly someone who can perform better when challenged but will become lackadaisical when is allowed to slack. Smack on my head, and i am back on track again! =) I am fine, stress is good as it keeps me going.
I think currently i have an endless to-do(s) list as a busy general surgery rotation is coming next, 2 research projects that i aim to finish year end, there are quite a few birthday parties for oct-nov-dec babies and endless topics to read. Come next year, a royal college certification exam to write, start a part time Master degree program, think of a novel research project that will launch my little scientist career and to do well in my elective attachments in other hospital. Look like i already have my new year resolution in place. Please pray for me that i can go through these plans smoothly but i will not allow any setback to stop me.
Another piece of good news, my sister might come to St.John's to further her studies. =) I cant wait to spend to spend some time with her as much as i am afraid that we will get into fight(s). Hehe!!!!
Till then!
